Once upon a time, a boozy ice pop was born.
The idea struck us one hot summer night back in 2018. There we were, in the seaside town we grew up in, revealing in the nostalgia of our earliest memories there. There was one particularly prominent favourite, and that was summertime stops at the corner store, to grab ice pops (or "freezies," as we call them in Canada) on our way to the beach.
What we could only recall as the most nostalgic icy delight to ever exist, was a long-gone experience of the past. But did it have to be? Surely we could figure out how to make an ice pop that was perhaps a little more... grown up. Not 24 hours later, what we now know as the very first Pilothouse Brand, Hardpops, was born.
A lot has happened since then, but some things never change. We're still getting our hands dirty every step of the way, as we continue to grow our brands from the frontline. Nearly every aspect of our growing portfolio was created in-house, from the packaging you see on the shelf, to the website and text you're scrolling through right now. Our diverse professional skillsets keep Pilothouse lean, allowing us to conceptualize and innovate on a whim. We're able to create fast, and test faster because of it.
Fast forward.
